MADE IN JAZZ
WHAT ?
The task was to create the full visual identity for a jazz documentary. This included developing the overall brand look, designing all printed materials such as posters and flyers, and designing and developing the official website. I worked end-to-end on the project, ensuring consistency across every visual touchpoint.

WHY ?
WHY ?
A strong and coherent visual identity was essential to set the tone of the documentary for festival audiences and to present the film professionally in communications with partners, sponsors, and media outlets. The aim was to capture the spirit of jazz — its sophistication, rhythm, and atmosphere — and translate it into a modern and appealing visual language that could work seamlessly both online and offline.

HOW ?
HOW ?

I started by exploring the film’s narrative and musical style to extract key visual themes. From there, I developed a branding system covering colors, typography, and layout rules. I designed all print collateral to match this identity and built a responsive, visually engaging website that extended the brand’s style into the digital space. Key point for the visuals was the implementation of the “Vikliky” font, originally used in the film’s animation. It was therefore essential to carry it over into the visual identity as well. Close collaboration with the filmmakers ensured the visuals reflected their artistic vision while meeting the practical needs of promotion and festival submissions.

IMPACT: The visual identity became a defining element of how the documentary was perceived, elevating its presence at festivals and making its communication with partners more professional and impactful. The consistent branding across print and digital channels ensured a strong, memorable image for the film. For me, this was an opportunity to combine creative direction, design execution, and web development into a single cohesive project, strengthening my skills in full-package delivery.
